December birthdays can be bummers for some, I suppose. But Frog on a Dime is fine with a sidebar birthday. It’s still fun to celebrate! And the best part, my darling dangling participles? The best part is the birthday giveaway! This year’s prize package is filled with all manner of goodies sure to solicit “Oh, wow!”s from the lucky recipient.
Might that lucky duck be you?
To enter Frog on a Dime’s 7th Birthday Celebration giveaway, leave a comment with this blog post (or with the Facebook post). Your comment MUST INCLUDE your favorite (or least favorite) 7-letter word.
The day for the drawing giveaway is Lucky Friday, December 13 at 6 p.m. (Eastern Time). Can’t wait!
I grabbed a pile of dust, and holding it up, foolishly asked for as many birthdays as the grains of dust, I forgot to ask that they be years of youth. ~ Ovid
Okay….I’ve tried leaving a comment three times now so hopefully this one does the trick! Whew!
First of all, 7 frogs on a dime is getting pretty crowded! But hey…the more, the merrier, right? For my 7-lettered word, I would choose SPARKLE because (1) everyone deserves to shine and (2) that’s how I feel every time The Frog shows up in my Inbox 🙂 Happy Anniversary!

7 years!? Wow…it’s getting crowded on this dime but hey…the more the merrier, in my opinion. My 7-lettered word would be SPARKLE because (1) everyone deserves to shine and (2) that’s how it makes me feel when the latest Frog shows up in my Inbox. 🙂 . Happy Anniversary!

Seven has always been my lucky number. And we are lucky that you share your wit and wisdom with us, Vicky! How is it possible that Frog on a Dime has been hopping around the Internet for seven years already? Your writerly insights make me very hoppy indeed. And here’s my favorite seven-letter word: kumquat. Why? Because a) it’s fun to say; b) I’ve never eaten one; and c) I hope to try one someday, because according to lore, it’s sweet on the outside but sour on the inside: a two-for-one taste sensation! (Plus, I have a feeling that at some point you may have addressed your blog followers as “my little kumquats.” So there’s that.) Congrats, dear Vicky! Keep on keeping on!

Pam! Thank you for your kind words and for sharing your fun word. When I was an editor for our local business magazine, my boss would call people she thought were jerks KUMQUATS! One day I asked her if she’d ever had a kumquat. Turned out, she didn’t even know what a kumquat was! I brought a little box of kumquats into the office for all of us to try. She did not become a kumquat fan, but we did discover that the sweet on the outside, sour on the inside taste of a kumquat could describe some jerks. Who knew! Thanks for the memory-jogger and for sharing. Please make kumquat sampling a line item on your New Years resolution list! Happy holidays to you!

My favorite 7-letter word: willowy.
I am in love with Mister Moses Frenchpress! On first look I thought his red scarf was a SUPERHERO cape, and I was enamored by the thought of a BOOK Superhero. ❤
Congratulations Vicky on 7 years of successful blogging! XOXO

Willowy. What an evocative word. Lovely. And yes, I am quite smitten with Mister Moses Frenchpress as well. I’ll have to ask him about the scarf. Perhaps you’ve uncovered his secret identity and the scarf converts to a cape! Hee hee! Thank you for your fun message and kind words. Happy holidays to you!
